Selenite Hearts

Selenite is a form of feldspar, like celestite, labradorite, and moonstone. In the simplest terms, it is the crystalized form of a very common mineral called gypsum. “Satin Spar” Selenite is an opaque fibrous crystal, and grows in very thin needle-like parallel structures. It's the most traditional selenite in use today.

Caring for your stone: Selenite is a very soft crystal, registering only a 2 on the Mohs hardness scale (for reference, our fingernails are a 2.5) so take care to not scratch or drop your stone. And definitely don’t soak your crystal in water, just wipe with a damp soft cloth when needed.

With its satin-sheen softness, and feldspar iridescence, selenite is considered the crystal of calm, purification and intuition. Placing selenite in a living space or shared areas help keep energies calm and soft. Consider keeping it near your work area or bedside to bask in its harmonious energies.
